Administrador inicio - GRUB

Tengo un problemita con el administrador de inicio de los sistemas operativos.
Quiero que el primero en la lista se Windows XP, pero actualmente es Ubuntu 8.4.
¿Se puede cambiar eso?

1. Selecciona la primera opcion en el grub (osea la vetranita de selección, antes que inicie algun sistema operativo)

2. Entra a Ubuntu

3. Entre a Aplicaciones - Accesorios- Terminal

4 Una vez en terminal teclea lo siguiente

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

ingresa tu contraseña de usuario root...

Saldrá algo así:

ves el codigo anterior , pues bien finaliza en default 4...

ok si te diste cuenta, dice 0. Debes cambiarloa 4 (Fíjate bien el orden inicial de los S.O)

Reinicia tu maquina, y veras que en el grub sale windows señalado por defecto...solo hace falta esperar los diez segundos o presionar entrar...

Beto, y en OpenSuse cómo sería? Digo, porque he hecho el paso primero, pero me dice "gedit: command not found".

gedit es un editor de texto. En el caso del suse puedes instalarlo desde el yast (gestor de instalacioón del SUSE, que descarga e instala programas mediante repositorios como el del PACMAN o GURU).
Cualquier pregunta me la haces...
